The X810R steam iron uses extremely hot water to remove wrinkles from clothes and fabrics that may not be suitable for traditional dry ironing. Distilled water is typically poured into a reservoir and converted into steam by special heating elements. This hot steam then exits through a series of holes in the soleplate (the bottom heating element) of the steam iron. The steam works to break down the individual fibers of the fabric, while the pressure of the steam iron smooths out the wrinkles.
