A fast and comprehensive laboratory testing kit specifically designed for monitoring and controlling water quality in swimming pools, ponds, and home water purification systems. This professional kit consists of a double graduated test tube with an attached standard color chart for immediate results, in addition to two liquid chemical reagent bottles: a yellow solution bottle for testing chlorine and bromine levels (OTO), and a red solution bottle for testing pH and acidity (Phenol Red).

This kit helps you ensure that your pool or water tank water remains completely healthy and safe for human use; it allows you to test the chlorine level responsible for disinfection to prevent the growth of algae and bacteria, and measure the pH to ensure that the water is not too acidic or alkaline, which could cause eye and skin irritation or corrosion in pump piping.

Correct Usage and Analysis Method:

Important Note: For the most accurate reading, it is recommended to take the water sample from a depth of 40 cm (about 18 inches) below the water surface.

  • First: Chlorine Test (CL):

    1. Rinse the tube designated for chlorine (yellow cap) with the sample water, then fill it with water up to the indicated line.

    2. Add 5 drops of Orthotolidine yellow solution (OTO).

    3. Close the tube with the cap and shake it well to mix the solution with the water.

    4. Compare the resulting water color with the yellow color chart printed next to it (the ideal reading for effective disinfection should be between 0.6 and 1.5).

  • Second: pH Test (Hydrogen Test):

    1. Rinse the tube designated for acidity (red cap) with the sample water, then fill it with water up to the indicated line.

    2. Add 5 drops of liquid Phenol Red solution.

    3. Close the tube with the cap and shake it well until the color is uniform.

    4. Compare the resulting water color with the red color chart printed next to it (the ideal reading for comfortable and safe water should be between 7.2 and 7.6).
