How do I choose the right drill bit?
Drill bits vary in different ways, from the bit head to the shape of the base, which is the part that is inserted and fixed into the drill chamber.
Different types of drill chambers include a central/three-dimensional chamber that holds the bit in place at three suspension points. The chamber diameter can be adjusted by rotating the drill bit.
- The round or cylindrical bit is compatible with various types of drills.
- Most hexagonal bits fit best in a triple-chamber drill.
- The Yeno bit is suitable for use in a cordless hammer drill; this is the only type of bit that can be used with both a hammer drill and a drill bit.
- A special bit for use with only one drill, namely the SDS Plus drill.
