How to make a magnetic surface on a wall
One of the most fun and useful ways to add a touch to your bedroom, living room, or office is to create a magnetic surface on the wall to hang your tools or notes in a practical and stylish way.
To carry out this small project in your home, you will need the following tools:
- cleaning sponge
- A piece of wood for moving
- Hand gloves
- 2 paint rollers
- Paper adhesive
- magnetic paint can
- Paint the wall any color you like
Steps of action:
- Clean the area to be painted with a sponge and clean water to remove dust and dirt. This step is very important for achieving excellent results when the project is finished.
- Mark the surface to be painted using paper tape.
- Open the can of magnetic paint and stir the contents well with a piece of wood until it reaches the highest level of viscosity, so that it is ready for use (Note: 1 liter of magnetic paint is enough to cover an area of 16 square meters).
- Using a paint roller, paint the surface outlined with the masking paper in an orderly fashion from top to bottom.
- For best results, paint the area with three coats, allowing 30-45 minutes of drying time between each coat.
- The surface will be completely dry within 30 minutes after painting is complete.
- Wait 4 hours to paint the surface the desired color using the same method.
Note: In the final step, it should be applied 4 hours after the magnetic paint has been applied. Also, do not paint more than two surfaces at a time to avoid affecting the magnetic strength of the material.
