How to operate submersible pumps

Submersible pumps : These are pumps that are entirely inside the liquid, and the motor is inside the pump itself, and it is well sealed so that water cannot reach it.

The submersible water pump is immersed in the fluid, usually water, until it rises to the surface. Kinetic energy is converted into centrifugal energy and then into pressure energy by the submersible pump motor, which lifts the water from the well.

Since these types of pumps can be submerged to a great depth, are easy to install, and have many uses such as: draining ponds or pumping water from wells.

Using submersible pumps

We immerse the submersible pumps in the liquid until they are pumped, and in this case we never have to prepare them, because they go completely into the liquid (one of their most important advantages).

The main characteristic of submersible pumps is that all their parts are immersed in the liquid and are inside a closed body to prevent corrosion and oxidation of the internal parts.

Submersible pumps of various types

There are several different types of submersible pumps, designed to pump various types of liquids, with or without solid objects. Therefore, determining the appropriate mounting type is crucial for selecting the right pump.

Most often, single-stage submersible pumps are used in domestic installations.

For example: pumping out sewage water or the basins in which they live.

On the other hand, we possess multi-stage submersible pumps, which are very suitable for pumping liquids underground.

For example: oil fields and wells, which can also work with drinking water, sewage, and also liquids that cause rust and corrosion.

There is also a point we must take into account, which is not to operate these pumps in a place far from water; because it causes the car engine to overheat (these submersible pumps were specifically manufactured to work inside water only).

There is only one drawback to these pumps that needs to be taken into account, which is that over time there is a possibility of corrosion occurring in the parts that shut off the motor.
