Common pump malfunctions

Common pump malfunctions include the pump operating but with a lower output than its rated capacity, or not delivering water at all.
- The motor operates in the opposite direction... especially in pumps that operate on a three-phase electrical system.
- The pressure is higher than the pump's possible capacity.
- Blockage of the pump's intake opening by foreign materials, salt deposits, or collapse of the well walls above the intake opening
- The pump may be blocked by an air bubble or air pocket. The presence of this pocket prevents water from flowing out of the pump at all.
- The electrical voltage is lower than the amount required to operate the pump.
- Blockage of the non-return valve located above the pump
- Blockage of pumping pipes or disposal of any obstruction
-Error in electrical wiring
- Mechanical friction in the pump or motor
- A hole occurred in the pumping and drainage pipes, causing water to leak before reaching the ground surface.
